Main > Ministry > Global Mission > Kemmerer Village Kemmerer Village   Nestled between fields of corn and soybeans just south of Assumption, Illinois, is a sanctuary for children from troubled backgrounds and homes. They are children who have been neglected, abused, and even prostituted.   On the campus of Kemmerer village, they find a caring, Christian staff. They have refuge from all that has afflicted them. They catch up on their education. The hurt they have experienced is healed. They are given new opportunities and new lives.   Through generous support, the village is able to take children from private referral as well as children from the state and the court system. The village is available to all children who are at risk.   A part of the help that the children and youth will receive is a new complex that was recently built. The complex provides room for a chapel, counseling offices, conference and meeting rooms, a dining room and a kitchen, and administrative offices. The facility provides for the nurturing of a spiritual life to reinforce their new life which begins at Kemmerer Village.   Just when they thought there was no love - there is Kemmerer Village.   The church supports this ministry by allowing members to pledge money donations through the church, which are then forwarded onto Kemmerer Village.
