 Chimes For Children & Foster Family Respite Care
As a spin off from the 2002 mission trip, it was decided to redirect the loose change our children give on Sunday morning to benefit foster children in Lawrence County. With a great deal of coordination with the local Office of Children and Family Services, our church offered a meal and free babysitting one evening a month to our county's foster families from September 2002 through May 2003. Foster parents enjoyed an evening out, foster kids had great fun in our church's nursery, fellowship hall, and upstairs youth rooms, and volunteers were richly blessed by the time they spent with these delightful children.
